Chaplaincy Research Conference at Cedars-Sinai

Pacific Region ACPE

Message Regarding Spiritual Care Research from Supervisor Pam Lazor

Flyer Announcing a Free Educational Conference is Attached (New Frontiers in Spiritual Care Research Conference – Flyer)

At the Pacific Region annual meeting in the fall, during a workshop on applying for the “Transforming Chaplaincy” grant, we mentioned that we were going to host a conference at Cedars-Sinai to look at some of the recent research that could impact or inform spiritual care/chaplaincy practice.  Many of those attending the workshop expressed interest in it, and asked us to keep them informed.  The information is attached.

We are hosting a conference at Cedars-Sinai on Thursday, March 30, 8:00 am-1:00 pm, titled “New Frontiers in Spiritual Care Research: Applying and Integrating New Research Findings into Clinical Practice”.  George Fitchett is the guest speaker.

For those who can attend in-person, the conference if free, and lunch and parking validation are provided.  Those interested in attending should RSVP to Sunny Garcia (

For those who cannot attend in-person, or for those who wish to view it again, we will also be recording the conference and it will be made available through the ACPE sometime after the conference.  Those interested in being informed when the recording is made available should also contact Sunny Garcia (

I have attached a flyer, in case anyone wants more information.
